About Colin

I am an incoming fourth-year Bioengineering student at the University of California, Riverside, with plans to pursue a master’s degree in the same field, followed by a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering. My long-term goal is to conduct research in biosensors and soft robotics for medical applications. Currently, I am an undergraduate researcher in the RaMS Lab at UCR, where I am developing a flexible biosensor for use in fabric-based soft robotic actuators. Having faced my own academic challenges, particularly when adapting to the fast pace of college coursework, I understand how difficult it can be to find the right study method. That experience allows me to connect with students of all learning styles and provide a supportive, personalized approach to tutoring. I now apply an efficient, refined learning strategy that emphasizes understanding, organization, and critical thinking skills I aim to pass on to those I tutor. My goal is to help students not only succeed academically but also build confidence in their ability to learn and grow.

About the lesson

As a tutor, I bring not only subject knowledge but also empathy and adaptability, shaped by my own academic journey. Whether you're in high school or college, I tailor each session to your level and goals. What sets me apart is my ability to relate to students, adapt to their needs, and guide them with a method that balances clarity, structure, and efficiency.
