I've also become a student and I literally know the struggles of being behind the lessons due to some unforeseen problems or it's just that I had difficulty grasping the lesson. Sometimes, my classmates' explanations are a lot easier to understand than my professors'. Participating in peer-to-peer discussions helped me better understand topics that I find hard to understand. It helped me to master topics because I learned that if you truly understand a lesson, you will be able to teach it to others. It's also a good practice to share what you learn as it helps in information retention in our minds.

I always give pre-assessment tests about the subject to my students. In this way, I can better understand what they know and don't know about the subject. With this information, I can properly personalize a lesson plan for them.
I also encourage my students to ask questions for an academic discussion about the lesson. I ensure my students truly understand the lessons taught through problem-solving exams.
