I am a third-year student aspiring to be a teacher after I graduate. I have a year's experience of tutoring, during which I have been able to refine my teaching ability, which has been felt by the students not only academically, but also in terms of confidence and interest.

My lessons tend to be focused on speaking, as I have found that this is where students lack the most practice. My lessons usually start with a vocab or grammar test, relating to whatever topic the student wanted to focus on. We then move onto the main focus of the lesson. Here, I am completely flexible to cover whatever the student would prefer, however I try to conduct as much of the lesson in French as possible, as I believe that immersion is the key to picking up a language fast. I like to ask students for their views and opinions, forcing them to answer spontaneously in French.
