As a third-year Software Engineering (AI) student, I am passionate about helping others build strong foundations in software engineering, programming, and artificial intelligence. About the lesson

I believe in a hands-on, practical approach to teaching that focuses on building a deep understanding of concepts, rather than just memorising information. I tailor my lessons to suit each student's individual needs, whether they’re just starting with coding or looking to dive deeper into AI and software engineering topics.

Teaching Methodology:

Interactive learning: I encourage active participation by having students work through coding exercises and real-world examples during lessons.
Clear explanations: I break down complex topics into simple, digestible parts to ensure students truly understand the material.
Continuous feedback: I provide regular feedback and support, guiding students through problem-solving and encouraging them to develop their own strategies.
Personalised pace: Every student learns differently, so I adapt the pace of the lessons based on their comfort level and progress.

Lesson Length:

Typical lessons last 60-90 minutes, but I am flexible and can adjust based on your schedule and needs.

Qualifications & Experience:

I’m a 3rd-year Software Engineering (AI) student, with a focus on artificial intelligence, machine learning, and programming.

Who the Lessons Are For:

My lessons are suitable for beginners through to university students (age 15+), whether you're studying for NCEA or looking for support with university coursework in programming and AI.

With this approach, my goal is to not only help students improve their grades but to build their confidence in software engineering and AI!

Blake is a great student, very willing to learn and puts in the effort. He has a strong conceptual understanding and solid problem-solving skills. The main area for improvement is the practical implementation of Python, which we'll focus on during our sessions.
