About Adam

Hi! I'm a third-year British medical student currently studying Medicine in Slovakia.

I've always had a keen interest in science, particularly Biology and Chemistry, which ultimately inspired me to pursue a career in medicine. Throughout my medical studies, I've developed a deeper understanding of these subjects and gained valuable experience in approaching complex scientific concepts in a clear and structured way.

I understand that science can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when balancing challenging topics, large amounts of information and the pressure of exams. Having experienced these challenges myself, I've developed effective study techniques that have helped me throughout my education, including active recall, breaking down difficult concepts and applying theoretical knowledge to practical questions.

I'm passionate about sharing these techniques with younger students and helping them realise that even the most complicated topics can become manageable with the right guidance and approach.

I consider myself patient, friendly and approachable. I believe students learn best in a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and progressing at their own pace.

For me, tutoring is about more than simply helping students pass their exams. I want to inspire confidence, encourage curiosity and help students develop a strong foundation in science that will support them throughout their education.

My ultimate goal is to make learning an enjoyable and rewarding experience while helping each student work towards achieving their full academic potential.

About the lesson

As a third-year British medical student, I aim to make Biology and Chemistry easier to understand, more engaging and less intimidating. My goal is to help students build confidence, strengthen their understanding and achieve the best possible results in their GCSE examinations.

**My Teaching Approach**

I believe that a strong understanding of a subject is far more valuable than simply memorising facts. Having studied science extensively throughout my medical degree, I've developed effective learning and revision techniques that I incorporate into my lessons.

I focus on breaking down complicated topics into simple, manageable explanations, using diagrams, real-life examples, active recall and exam-style questions to reinforce understanding.

Every student learns differently, which is why I tailor my lessons to their individual needs, abilities and goals. Whether a student needs help understanding a particular topic or improving their exam technique, I adapt my approach to ensure they get the most out of each session.

**What to Expect from My Lessons**

My lessons typically last 60 minutes and are structured to make learning both productive and enjoyable.

Each session generally includes:

- A brief review of previous topics to reinforce existing knowledge.
- Clear, step-by-step explanations of challenging concepts.
- Interactive discussions and questions to encourage active participation.
- Practice with GCSE exam-style questions, focusing on understanding mark schemes and maximising marks.
- Personalised feedback and revision strategies to support independent learning.

I also place a strong emphasis on exam technique, helping students understand not only the correct answers but also how to structure their responses to gain the marks available.

**Who Are My Lessons For?**

I provide online tutoring in GCSE Biology, Chemistry and Combined Science, primarily for Year 10 and Year 11 students.

Whether you're finding certain topics difficult, looking to improve your grades or aiming for the highest possible marks, my lessons are designed to support you at your current level and help you progress towards your goals.

Above all, I want students to leave each lesson feeling more confident, capable and motivated. My aim is to develop a genuine understanding of science that will benefit them not only in their GCSE examinations but throughout their future education.
