About Thanmay

Hi, I’m Thanmay, a 3rd-year medical student with a passion for teaching and helping others succeed. With years of experience tutoring Maths, Biology, and Chemistry, I love breaking down challenging concepts and seeing my students grow in confidence. Teaching allows me to share my knowledge, support your learning journey, and help you achieve your goals—whether it's acing exams or building a solid understanding for the future. Let’s work together to make these subjects exciting and achievable!

About the lesson

As an experienced medical student, my approach to tutoring in GCSE and A-Level Maths, Biology, and Chemistry is centred on clarity, engagement, and personalised learning: I focus on breaking complex topics into simple, digestible concepts, using real-world examples and analogies to make subjects relatable. Lessons are highly interactive, encouraging active participation with questions, problem-solving exercises, and tailored practice tasks. Each session typically lasts 1-2 hours, balancing effective learning with sustained focus. As a medical student, I bring a strong academic background in science and maths, combined with practical experience explaining intricate topics to peers and younger students. My familiarity with exam techniques and syllabus requirements ensures students achieve their goals. I have 2 years of experience tutoring and have also tutored special needs students as well which further expanded my ability to break down and tailor concepts depending on the student’s needs I teach GCSE and A-Level students of all abilities, focusing on building confidence, improving problem-solving skills, and achieving target grades.
