About Orla
I am a third-year B.Ed. in Languages student at the University of Limerick, currently training to become an Irish teacher.
I am a native Irish speaker from Connemara and have grown up speaking Irish. I attended both an all-Irish primary school and an all-Irish secondary school, so Irish has been a major part of my education and everyday life.
I achieved a H1 in Leaving Certificate Irish, and I have previously helped students prepare for their Irish oral exams, particularly with building confidence, improving pronunciation and fluency, and preparing answers and conversations.

I offer Irish grinds, and I tailor my lessons to each student's individual needs. Whether you are preparing for the Junior Cycle or Leaving Certificate, working towards a higher grade, or simply want to become more confident speaking Irish, I can help.
I particularly enjoy helping with oral preparation. As a native speaker, I can help students develop more natural Irish, practise conversations and questions, improve pronunciation, and become more comfortable speaking under exam conditions.
I also provide support with grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, written work, and exam preparation.
As a student teacher, I understand that every student learns differently. I aim to make my lessons friendly, relaxed and encouraging, while still helping students make real progress. I will work at your pace and focus on the areas where you need the most support.
