About Erin
During my summers off from University I work in a summer camp for children from underprivileged backgrounds, offering them a safe space to learn and grow. This has shown me the importance of some one-on-one teaching. Sometimes all students need to fulfil their potential is a little bit of care and some extra time. I can offer the encouragement and guidance that is, at times, lost in the busyness of the classroom. So whether it's getting into reading or writing a portfolio for Advanced Higher and everything in between, I will do my best to instil confidence into my students.

My main aim as a tutor is to promote confidence in my students' abilities. My lessons typically last 1-2 hours, however this can be tailored to the student's individual needs. I have worked with children of all ages and abilities, with everything from encouraging reading at an early stage to helping essay writing in older years. I achieved A grade in all my exams to Advanced Higher level and I'm currently studying an MA in English and Creative Writing at the University of Dundee. I'm passionate about allowing everyone the access and support they deserve in order to appreciate the joys of reading, writing and literature!
