About Caragh
I was a one on one languages and 11+ tutor during my time at school and have developed an ongoing desire to work with young people and adult learners alike.
During my time at university I volunteer as a KS4 German language assistant on a weekly basis. I have also completed a four week internship with African Prisons Project, working as a law tutor for prisoners who are working towards completing their LLB.

My teaching method is, naturally, heavily dependent on the student. I have worked with a breadth of learners in different environments varying from home lessons, classroom situations in both comprehensive and grammar schools, and have even given lessons in prisons!
Historically, I have worked most with people who need a certain grade for University requirements and help them go above and beyond this level to flourish beyond their A-level / GCSE studies.
I myself, enjoy learning through talking, so discussing concepts and figuring out solutions orally. However, a great tutor will recognise that not every student is the same, and everybody reacts differently to different resources. There will be set work between sessions to be completed for the next meeting to ensure that work is consolidated and is stored in the long term memory. Small tests will be issued at regular intervals to ensure that progression is occurring at a rate which pleases both sides.
