About Siddharta

I am an aspiring physicist who is greatly interested in Environmental Physics and applying science to save the world from our impending climate change crisis.

I have never believed I was smart, gifted, or better than anyone else mentally. I have only ever believed that hard work, determination, and good teaching are the keys to getting great academic results. With continuous effort, strong support network, and a teacher that is ready to help you whenever you have a problem, any student will be able to achieve academic excellence and get the results of their dreams.

If a student fails, or can't understand a topic, I believe it is always the fault of the teacher. I only hope that you will ask me as many questions as you can, and I promise to create a safe environment so you feel comfortable enough to talk to me and learn as much as you can.

About the lesson

-I emphasise learning through doing problems. Hence, I like to work through problems with the students while explaining the steps to them. However, I also believe that the student must have a proper foundation in the topic before engaging the problems, and get them to understand why they are doing what they're doing instead of just showing them the working for a problem.

-2 hours is a good length for a lesson. I would like to spend the first hour doing theory and showing them how to do the problems, and the next hour giving them work and assisting them to finish it, so they gain confidence in answering questions.

-I have 4 A Stars in A - Levels (Physics, Maths, Chemistry, Further Maths)
- I have 9 A's in SPM ( which is the Malaysian equivalent of IGCSEs) in which I got an A star for Additional Maths, Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and English

I have taught children aged 6-15 in group settings for Maths and English. The classes were 2 hours long each and I did it twice a week, once for English and once for Maths. I also taught debate for both High School and University students for 6 months.

-My lesson is most suitable for students studying for GCSE and A-Levels, but I'm also more than happy to work with younger kids as I have great experience teaching young children and am generally very patient.
