About Elizabeth
I'm a student for life, wanting to teach history and hopefully venture into fashion reconstruction after my degree finishes.
I have a passion for re-igniting the spark of interest in this country for what time has hidden from us. Passionate about reconstructing Australian history education to include colonized voices in the curriculum, and further push the agenda of de-colonizing our education system which still holds the structures of the British Empire within it.

I’m in my last year at the University of Melbourne, majoring in history and minoring in knowledge and learning.
I teach
•social studies
•revolutions history
•history of science
•history of colonialism
I anchor my teaching in the pedagogy of Lev Vygotsky, where we work together to mentor you into your own self-educator.
This involves using storytelling of the past to engage your mind in the activity of learning, and using this anchor point to build the history of events you want to learn about.
Whether it is a history of colonialism in India, and Robert Fortune’s absurd adventure for tea. A history of border making and Edward Younghusband’s illegal venture into Tibet and the Panchen Lama’s acts of treason against China, or a history of epistemology and the tales of George Washington’s racist prejudices against Native American people. I will anchor your lessons in engagement and get you on track to appreciate and enjoy the study of history and its supporting subjects.
Lesson length: 1 hour
Target audience: all ages welcome, grades 1-12 including VCE. University students welcome.
Please message me to plan a schedule and gauge whether my tutoring is right for you.
