About Ella

I am currently studying both film and international studies at university this year, a place I received off of my 5 band 6 results and all 90+ raw exam marks. This was achieved through consistent dedication, work, and consistent collaboration with peers, teachers, mentors, and more.

This kind of collaboration is essential for maximising your English results and I aim to be a person you can learn from, ask questions, and feel comfortable building your English knowledge and skills with. The HSC can be difficult but I aim to make it just that bit more rewarding as I guide you to find passion and enjoyment in English backed up with tangible results.

I also can assist in HSC SOR II, Visual Arts, and Earth and Environmental Science.

About the lesson

Class time: 1-2 hours (can extend if need is urgent),
Student age: Open to all high school students, including students in younger years who may require broader english help (wide reading, types of creative writing etc).

Teaching Methods:
- Engage with what you are passionate about to maximise both enjoyment and learning.
- Target problem areas together to ensure we can manage any worries and tackle things with a positive outlook.
- Particular expertise in COW creative writing and reflections in Advanced English (20/20 in CCSA trial paper).
- Accomplish organised, unique, and engaging notes that act as a basis for study, memorisation, practice, and revision.

Extension 2 English:
- Specialised knowledge in the poetic form.
- Broader macro feedback upon the work as a whole.
- Micro revision of spelling, grammar, and flow.
- Creating goals that are manageable and rewarding.
- Locating and reviewing secondary sources that help build an overall understanding of a students specific topic area.
