About Sophie

Hi my name is Sophie, I'm a first year university student studying music and science at the University of Queensland. I've always been good at math and science and enjoyed problem solving and working at logic and pattern based problems. I received 100% in my Chemistry internal assessments (94% overall) and 96% in my Psychology internals (92% overall). I also achieved Chairperson of the School board awards (A's or equivalent percentage grade in all subject) from years 7 to 12. Over the years I found a passion for helping other people learn and enjoy these subjects too. I'd love to tutor you and help you build confidence and also learn to appreciate and enjoy the subject.

About the lesson

Personalised lessons for every student based on individual needs and learning styles. Maths lessons can include; concept explanations, practicing maths problems, and exam preparation. Science (including senior chemistry and psychology) can include concept explanations, memorisation techniques, exam and assignment preparation and assignment feedback. These may involve worksheets, games, practice papers, or organisation and planning help. Lessons can last from 30 to 60 minutes. I am tutoring maths and general science students working at primary school to year-9 level, and chemistry and psychology students in years 11 and 12, and can hold lessons in person or online.
