About Destiny
I am a 1st class psychology graduate, I have been taking psychology at GCSE, and A-level I was, also a straight A- A* student in sociology ( I received a final A in my sociology A-levels). This allows me to have a high-level understanding of the differences in standards and requirements for each academic level. I have been a peer mentor (a tutor for undergraduate psychology students chosen by grades) for 2 years, which has enabled me to privately tutor, and publicly teach (coordinate, and co-teach seminars) around 25 students a week.

I have a facilitative and demonstrative style of teaching, as I like to incorporate my experiences with key learning in specific areas to demonstrate different formats, skills, and foundational/applicable knowledge. I also promote self-learning and critical thinking, which urges students to apply the demonstrated knowledge to their own writing, research, and skills.
Introductions are key! and before I start tutoring I typically like to understand student's skill level, their strengths, and their limitations. This allows me to personalize each session to their academic needs. I also like to give out homework or required reading to help increase, and test the student's knowledge in an area. This homework will be personalized for the student based on their academic level, strengths/weaknesses, and exam board (AQA, OCR).

Details
The rates remain the same for all students of varying levels, travel cost does not apply if the tutor is able to walk to the meeting area or the student lives on campus at Coventry University. If the student wishes to cancel 24 hours prior notice to the tutor is needed in which case no tuition fees will be incurred. Absences and cancellations without the 24 hours prior notice will be charged at the full rate.
