About Bailey
I am a student at Ballard High School, in 10th grade. While I may be young and learning myself, I can assure you that am very passionate about English and helping others to better understand it. I currently have a 4.0 grade point average and A's in all of my classes. I hope my sessions can help students not only with their work, but with their confidence in English. I believe my current grade level allows me to better understand where students are coming from, because I was once in that situation too.

As a student, I know how hard it can be to be motivated to do a subject you believe you aren't good at. Math was always hard for me and not until recently did I really start to get the hang of it. I am a kind and motivating tutor, who truly understands the struggles of students with subjects that are hard for them. My typical lesson plan would first include asking the student questions about which areas of English they are struggling in. From there, I would develop a prompt or reading for them, so I can analyze where they are in English. Then, I would give them strategies to use for their English work in school so they can succeed. We would practice every session different prompts, and I would ask them to show me some of their current school work so I can help them improve even more. I can teach from grades 3-9.
