About John
My experience in bilingual education have truly taught me the value of aiding individuals in their desire to communicate in a new language, and I love helping people gain the skills and confidence necessary to do so.
As someone who stepped into their own with the Spanish language as an adult, I feel confident in helping people learn what they need to learn to better communicate and express themselves. During my four years in Madrid, I went from being someone who struggled consistently with communicating in Spanish to a completely fluent speaker, reader, and writer.
While I can't completely immerse a student in a Spanish speaking culture, the lessons I have cultivated will allow students to learn for themselves in a fun and personalized way.

Learning languages is fun! My Spanish lessons will show that while also forming methods for healthy, long-term growth and learning. As someone who has been able to master the Spanish and Portuguese languages as an adult, I recognize that learning languages is a multi-dimensional experience that happens over time through consistent and engaged study.
My dynamic lessons will include activities and projects that benefit all aspects of language learning (Speaking, Listening, Reading, Writing) while engaging the student on a personal and cultural level.
I have experience with students of all learning levels (from beginner to advanced) and am based in Brooklyn, NY. I am available for virtual as well as in-home lessons.
