Meet Shamma — Making Math Make Sense! As a passionate and patient math educator, my goal is to transform fear into fascination when it comes to numbers. I believe that every student learns differently, so I tailor my approach to match individual learning styles — whether it’s visual, auditory, or hands-on. My Teaching Techniques and Methods: I combine traditional methods with interactive strategies to help students truly understand concepts instead of memorizing them. I break down complex problems into simple, digestible steps and use real-world examples to make math relatable and engaging. I also encourage questions, critical thinking, and collaborative problem-solving to build both skill and confidence. The Usual Structure of My Class: Each session begins with a quick review of previous topics to reinforce understanding. Then we move into the day’s lesson, which is presented in a clear, structured way with examples and guided practice. Students then get time to work through problems with my support, followed by a quick recap and goal-setting for the next class. What Makes Me Different: What sets me apart is my patience, empathy, and ability to explain things in multiple ways until the student gets it.
