About Basile
I've been in French/American bilingual environments most of my life. I'm originally from Paris but moved to the US when I was ten and attended a French international school in Boston. I hold a French Baccalaureate (our high school diploma) with the highest possible honors (félications du jury).
I'm truly passionate about language learning. There's nothing quite like it to see the world from another cultural standpoint, and I think the links we can make between languages are fascinating. I learned Spanish in school and studied in Spain multiple times. I'm currently learning Italian and German both out of interest and to hone my skills and technique in teaching languages to beginners.

I can adapt to your needs and previous experience to establish realistic yet ambitious goals for each student. I've worked in corporate environments in France and in the US so I can also help students looking to learn more formal/career-related vocabulary, or navigating cultural differences.
I have previous tutoring experience; I currently teach genetics and ecology to undergraduate life science majors at UCLA.
