About Nayel
I've been teaching Arabic for the past decade, both in-person and via the web, to a wide variety of students of all ages and backgrounds. Students have gone on to succeed in university-level classes to having a strong grasp of being able to work in the Middle East.

PhD in engineering + linguistics from MIT, having attained a B.S in engineering from Cairo University before that. I'm a big believer in teaching through both modern and classical sources, utilizing texts as varied as 11th century treatises to tweets in Arabic. I founded one of the most popular Arabic-content open-source encyclopedias, marefa.org (literally translated as 'knowledge.org').
