About Talia

I completed a PhD in French Applied Linguistics and International Studies after developing a strong passion for communication, language education, and cultural exchange during my academic training. Over the past 10 years, I have worked with students from many different backgrounds and experience levels, helping them improve their French through supportive instruction and practical communication methods. Teaching French allows me to combine mentorship, creativity, and cultural learning in a deeply rewarding way. I enjoy helping learners express themselves naturally and confidently in another language.

My teaching approach focuses on patience, adaptability, and communication-centred learning. Some students improve best through grammar-focused exercises and structured repetition, while others respond more naturally to conversation and interactive speaking activities. I carefully adapt lessons according to each learner’s comfort level, personality, and communication goals. Along with technical language development, I help students strengthen pronunciation, listening ability, vocabulary retention, and conversational fluency. Creating a welcoming and encouraging learning atmosphere remains one of my highest priorities as an educator.

Outside teaching, I enjoy reading international literature, exploring French cinema, and continuing language research through travel and cultural studies. These experiences help me bring practical examples and fresh ideas into lessons regularly. I believe language learning creates opportunities for confidence, cultural understanding, and personal growth. One of the most rewarding parts of teaching is seeing students communicate naturally in situations that once felt difficult or unfamiliar.

About the lesson

My French lessons focus on helping students communicate comfortably while developing strong grammar understanding and natural speaking ability through practical learning experiences. I teach pronunciation, sentence construction, vocabulary development, listening comprehension, verb conjugation, and conversational fluency using explanations that feel simple and approachable for learners at every stage. Lessons also include speaking activities, storytelling exercises, listening practice, roleplays, and cultural discussions that help students understand how French is used naturally in real-life situations. I create a relaxed and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable participating openly and improving steadily without fear of mistakes. Every lesson supports communication skills, confidence, and long-term language growth together.

Beginners focus on greetings, pronunciation basics, everyday vocabulary, and simple sentence structures through organised repetition and interactive activities that build confidence gradually. Intermediate learners strengthen conversational flow, listening accuracy, grammar understanding, and response timing through practical communication exercises and guided discussions. Advanced students focus on smoother fluency, natural expression, and stronger communication skills for travel, academic, or professional situations. I carefully adapt lessons according to each learner’s pace, confidence level, and personal goals so progress remains balanced and motivating throughout the learning process.

Learning French should feel useful, enjoyable, and meaningful. I encourage students to practise naturally during lessons instead of depending only on memorisation techniques. Many learners become more expressive and confident communicators as their language abilities continue improving naturally over time. My goal is to help students strengthen practical fluency while appreciating the richness and beauty connected to the French language and culture.
