About Hazel

My journey with programming began with the excitement of seeing logic transform into real, functioning results. Over seven years of teaching, I’ve shared this excitement with countless students, helping them gain confidence and develop strong technical foundations. Teaching programming fulfills my passion for guiding others through discovery, creativity, and problem-solving. Watching learners grow into capable coders who enjoy the process is one of the greatest rewards of my work. My teaching style is patient, adaptable, and supportive. I understand that programming can be challenging, so I focus on making each concept feel approachable and manageable. I adjust explanations to fit individual learning styles, whether a student prefers visual reasoning, step-by-step breakdowns, or hands-on experimentation. I value clarity, encouragement, and a structured approach that helps students stay motivated and confident. My goal is to create a positive environment where learning feels exciting, achievable, and meaningful. Outside of teaching, I stay active in coding projects, exploring new technologies, and deepening my knowledge of modern programming tools. Staying up to date allows me to bring fresh examples and practical techniques into my lessons. Teaching programming is truly meaningful to me because it allows me to witness transformation—students building confidence, discovering creativity, and unlocking opportunities through skill development. Helping learners grow into empowered, thoughtful problem-solvers remains at the heart of my work.

About the lesson

Programming becomes exciting when students realize they can turn ideas into functioning systems through logic and creativity. Beginners start by learning loops, functions, variables, conditionals, and the foundational mindset of computational thinking. Intermediate learners work with data structures, object-oriented programming, error handling, and efficient problem-solving. Advanced students develop full applications, learn optimization techniques, explore frameworks, or prepare for exams and technical assessments. I incorporate real-world examples, guided practice, coding exercises, and personalized feedback to support steady growth. Lessons are flexible and tailored to each learner’s goals, ensuring a comfortable pace and strong skill development.
